Mirror Neurons

In the class I TA for (Infant Development) we talked about Mirror Neurons.  The topic is fascinating.  I highly suggest the video we watched during class...




After watching this video and talking about mirror neurons for a few minutes I started to wonder...What about media?  If seeing and doing are the same in our brains, or even just similar what does that mean for violent media? The sexualization of women in media?  Pornography?

Holy cow, our brains are amazing!  This idea made me want to be SO MUCH more careful about what I put in my brain!

    I remember learning about this and being fascinated. It would be very interesting to see a study on how the brain responds to media in mirroring actions.

    Good point Bethany. I wish we could get more people in the world to understand this. I think the church is doing a good job at putting out more and more good video's for people to see and do.
